This policy explains what Ilera (“we”) collects when you use Ilera, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to give you a plan.
What we collect
- •Account details: your name and email address.
- •Plan inputs: goal, weight, height, age, sex, activity level, training days, equipment, region, cuisine preference and any foods you exclude.
- •Activity in the app: your weight log and the plans you generate.
- •Technical data: basic device/usage information needed to run and secure the Service.
- •Payment: handled by Paystack. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card number.
How we use it
- •To calculate your targets and generate your meal plan, shopping list and workouts.
- •To create and secure your account and remember your settings.
- •To process your Plus subscription and provide support.
- •To fix problems and improve the Service.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the Service, who process data on our behalf:
- •Google Firebase — accounts, database and hosting of your data.
- •Paystack — subscription payments.
- •Vercel — application hosting.
- •PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics (how the app is used).
- •Our email provider — account and transactional emails (e.g. password resets).
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the Service and our users.
Storage & retention
Your data is stored with the providers above and kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records (e.g. payment records) to meet legal obligations.
Your choices & rights
- •Access and update most of your details in Account → Your details.
- •Request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion by emailing support@ilera-ng.com.
- •Cancel your subscription anytime from your account.
Cookies & local storage
Ilera stores data in your browser (local storage) so the app works and remembers your plan and preferences. This is essential to the Service rather than advertising tracking.
Children
Ilera is for adults (18+) and not directed at children.
